Twitchy Feet Club Night to raise money and awareness for Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation
9:43am Friday 13th September 2013 in News
A YORK student is organising a club night in aid of a charity set up in memory of murdered girl Caroline Stuttle.
Mark Mattinson is putting on the Twitchy Feet Club Night to raise money and awareness for Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation – set up after Caroline was killed while travelling in Australia in 2002.
The charity works to promote travel safety to young people and is launching a travel safety app that will offer specific travel safety information for destinations around the globe.
Mark, who is organising the night as part of his International Tourism Management course at York St John University, said he decided to help the charity after spending time travelling and has been working with them since February.
The night is set to launch on Saturday, September 14, from 7.30pm, at the Duchess in Stonebow, and Mark said he hopes it will become a regular event.
Bands The Peacock Suits, Stonewater and Brother Darwin are all set to perform, and gig-goers will receive an mp3 download of some of the tracks recorded live on the night.
Tickets cost £8 in advance from the Duchess box office or website, or £10 on the door, and there will grand prize raffle.
