YORK Knights have named their preliminary squad for their return to Betfred Championship action on Sunday, with Halifax Panthers the visitors to the LNER Community Stadium (3pm).

Head Coach Andrew Henderson has named three changes from the York squad that exited the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup to Sheffield Eagles, which includes debuts for both Franklin Pele and Davy Litten.

Pele and Litten joined the Knights on initial two-week loan deals on Thursday, helping bolster Henderson’s ranks.

Will Dagger is absent from the squad as he serves a one-match suspension, whilst Oli Field and Nikau Williams also miss out.

Ata Hingano also remains in the squad after passing his HIA tests in midweek.
